Facilities Assistant
AWX is seeking a motivated and practical Facilities Assistant in Logan to support the maintenance, inspection and improvement of community parks and facilities across the Logan region.
This hands-on role is ideal for someone with experience in facilities, asset maintenance, parks operations or civil works who enjoys working outdoors and contributing to well-presented community spaces.
About the Role
You will assist with:
* Inspecting parks facilities, playgrounds and amenities for safety, compliance and condition
* Coordinating minor maintenance and installation works
* Liaising with contractors and internal teams
* Responding to customer enquiries
* Supporting asset management, reporting and record keeping
* Contributing to forward planning and resource scheduling
About You
You will bring:
* Experience in facilities, parks, asset maintenance or similar field-based roles
* Knowledge of workplace health & safety practices
* Ability to work with contractors and stakeholders
* Strong organisational and record-keeping skills
* Sound computer skills (GIS or asset systems highly regarded)
* Current C Class Driver's Licence
* Construction Industry White Card
* Playground inspection accreditation or willingness to obtain is highly desirable.
