About the role:
As one of our Senior Rangers, you’ll be responsible forsupervising a team of operational staff, ensuring compliance withlegislation and local laws, and delivering exceptional service toresidents and visitors. You’ll lead by example, manageinvestigations, and help shape a safe and welcoming environmentacross the district.
As the Senior Ranger you will:
- Provide strong leadership and mentorship to Rangerstaff.
- Oversee daily operations, patrols, and enforcementactivities.
- Investigate complaints and regulatory breaches and preparelegal documentation.
- Attend court and tribunal proceedings as required.
- Maintain the animal management facility and oversee relatedinvestigations.
- Respond to after-hours calls and emergencies (on-callroster applies).
- Promote community education and engagement around Rangerservices.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Certificate IV in Government Investigations orequivalent.
- ROCS 1 & 2 qualifications or equivalent.
- Extensive experience in local government Ranger services orsimilar regulatory roles.
- Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent time management and organisationalabilities.
- Ability to interpret legislation and manage statutoryinvestigations.
- High-level written and verbal communication skills.
Pre-employment Requirements:
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence.
- Current First Aid Qualification.
- National Police Clearance (less than six months old).
- Proof of right to work in Australia.
- Must reside within or be available within the City ofBusselton district when on-call.
