About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Panel Shop Estimator to join our growing automotive repair business. This role is critical to our operations, acting as the link between customers, insurers, technicians, and management. You will be responsible for preparing accurate repair estimates, managing job approvals, and ensuring a smooth repair process from assessment to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare accurate and timely repair estimates for collision, hail, and general body repairs
* Assess vehicle damage and determine repair methods, labour, and parts required
* Liaise with insurance assessors, suppliers, and customers to obtain approvals
* Upload, manage, and update estimates in estimating and job management systems
* Communicate clearly with technicians to ensure repair scope is understood
* Review supplements and variations as repairs progress
* Ensure estimates comply with insurer guidelines and internal standards
* Support workflow efficiency, repair quality, and turnaround times
* Assist with customer updates and job status communication when required
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Panel Shop Estimator or Automotive Repair Estimator
* Strong knowledge of panel beating, paint and repair processes
* Experience with hail repair estimating
* Experience dealing with insurance companies and assessors
* Familiarity with estimating and workshop management systems
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Strong communication and negotiation skills
* Ability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
* Current driver's licence
Desirable (but not essential)
* Trade background in panel beating or automotive repair
* Knowledge of parts sourcing and supplier pricing
* Experience working with high-volume repair environments

Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
