Project Manager Road Infrastructure
This is a high-impact role that involves overseeing the planning, procurement, and delivery of road infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will act as the Superintendent's Representative, providing expert technical and contract advice to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project outcomes.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Project Delivery & Site Supervision: Act as Superintendent's Representative for small to medium construction projects. Oversee day-to-day site operations, resolve technical issues, and ensure WHS compliance.
* Procurement: Prepare procurement documentation and contract packages. Analyze quotation submissions and award contracts in line with procurement strategies.
* Contract Administration: Administer civil construction contracts in accordance with contractual obligations. Build strong working relationships with contractors and ensure fair resolution of issues.
* Performance Reporting: Prepare regular progress reports on safety, budget, quality, environment, and stakeholder engagement. Conduct project meetings and implement corrective actions as needed.
* Supervision & Coordination: Provide technical support and mentoring to Undergraduate Engineers. Review internal procedures and support continuous improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or currently completing) and demonstrated experience in road and drainage construction projects. Strong understanding of Workplace Health & Safety requirements for construction is also essential.
