A career opportunity for a skilled lawyer who is seeking to transition into a legal writing role, leveraging their governance and company secretarial experience to create high-quality practical content.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in governance, company secretarial, and/or corporate counsel roles, with a solid understanding of practical processes and procedures.
They will be responsible for developing and maintaining up-to-date practical legal content, including guidance notes, checklists, precedents, and legal updates, as well as preparing and maintaining practically-focused content resources.
In addition, the successful candidate will support Relationship Managers in building brand awareness and influencing market share among clients and stakeholders, while participating in in-market activities such as masterclasses, webinars, and customer feedback sessions.
Requirements
* 3+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE)
* Australian qualified lawyer
* Recent experience working in an Australian mid-to-top-tier law firm in-house counsel role or relevant corporate experience
* Strong practice background with a keen interest in governance, company secretarial, and corporate counsel, and a proven ability to adapt to new practice areas
* Excellent communication and plain-English writing skills
* Aptitude for building and fostering relationships with diverse clients and local and international stakeholders
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
