Job Description
We seek an experienced Communications Technician for our team at Capcoal – German Creek, Middlemount QLD. Reporting to the Service Delivery Coordinator, your responsibilities include assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of communication systems on site, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and safety standards.
* Support the Service Delivery Coordinator in communication system activities.
* Work collaboratively to support departmental plans and continuous improvement.
* Build and maintain positive relationships with team members.
* Respond to critical events and participate in safety processes including risk assessments and SOP reviews.
* Travel across the site as required.
You will also contribute to site leadership, develop and implement site strategies, and ensure system compliance and improvement.
Experience
* Experience with SAP Maintenance System preferred.
* Mechanical background working on equipment like draglines, excavators, haul trucks.
* Experience in driving departmental best practices and strategy development.
* Strong data analysis and continuous improvement skills.
* Knowledge of mining legislation and Australian Communications and Media Authority Act.
Qualifications
* Minimum Cert III in Telecommunications.
* Austel Licence with endorsements in Optical Fibre, Structured cabling, Coaxial, Underground, Aerial.
