We're looking for a qualified, experienced climbing arborist to join the Why Arb team in Hobart. You'll be carrying out all aspects of professional tree work — from technical removals and fine pruning through to hedge maintenance, stump grinding and ecological habitat carving.
You'll be part of a team that values professionalism, good humour, and pride in what we do. Every day is different — different sites, different trees, different clients. We structure our workload to avoid burnout, so it's not big days every day.
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience as a competent climbing arborist with level 3 or equivalent
* Strong understanding of modern climbing techniques and safe work practices
* Ability to prune to Australian Standards (AS
* Capable of leading a small team and planning daily operations
* Comfortable operating and maintaining equipment such as chippers and stump grinders
* Honest, safe, hardworking, and passionate about trees
* Someone who enjoys what they do — and can have fun doing it
Requirements
* White Card (Construction Induction) – essential
* Manual Driver's Licence (MR/HR highly regarded)
* First Aid & CPR – advantageous
* Willingness to undertake medical and drug/alcohol testing
* Moderate mechanical aptitude (advantageous)
* Strong work ethic, reliability, and initiative
* Good written and verbal communication skills
