Technical Farm Officer Job
This is a 5-month fixed-term, full-time position commencing as soon as possible. At our school, we ensure that every student's academic, social and emotional growth is our priority.
About the Role
The Technical Farm Officer is directly involved in day-to-day operations of the farm enterprises and the implementation of the farm development plan. The successful applicant will maintain enterprises on the farm which include livestock management, cropping, mechanics, and general maintenance items as they occur.
* Implement daily operations of farm enterprises.
* Maintain farms including livestock, crops, and equipment.
* Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement sustainable farming practices.
2. Supervise students during workplace learning activities.
3. Provide technical support to farm staff.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants should have:
* A degree in agriculture or a related field.
* At least 2 years of experience in farm management.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
