Our organisation is seeking an experienced and visionary leader to play a pivotal role in our General Insurance division. As the head of risk management, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that align with our business objectives and support our clients' needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of our risk management strategy;
* Develop, implement, and maintain methodologies, policies, and procedures for enterprise-wide and divisional risk profiles;
* Collaborate with senior leaders to create audit plans, report, and present results to management and governing bodies; ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, and contractual requirements;
* Develop and oversee risk and compliance frameworks, including delivery of audit activities, tracking progress, and reporting on performance against audit action plans and risk management strategies.
Requirements
* Proven expertise in risk management practices, preferably in general insurance, with at least 5 years' experience in a senior risk leadership role in a financial services organisation;
* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to foster a positive team culture and drive high-performance environments;
* Graduate or post-graduate qualification in risk management or a related field;
* Extensive knowledge of regulatory frameworks, particularly in the General Insurance Code of Practice and RG78 breach reporting regime.
