We have an opening for a Reservations Manager to join our hotel on a permanent full-time basis. This opportunity is for someone who is experienced in hotel front office operations and has high attention to detail. You will report to the Director of Revenue and Sales and be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the reservations sector with emphasis on optimising occupancy, average room rate and accommodation yield.
We are looking for someone who is organised, has fantastic communication skills and can effectively multitask. If you believe that you possess these qualities along with the below, then we want to hear from you:
Provide and maintain a very high standard of guest service
Be a team player who promotes a positive work culture
Lead, coach, train and inspire a team to achieve common goals
Monitor the performance of new and existing team members and implement training needs as required
Able to work under pressure and managing competing priorities
Strong understanding of hotel systems (PMS) and distribution channels, while Opera, SiteMinder and Amadeus experience is highly desirable.
In this position you will be responsible for but not limited to:
Ensure that maximisation of yield is undertaken at all times through utilisation of revenue reports and yield tools, maximising the potential for revenue generation and growth across the rooms division department.
Oversee all reservations and group accommodations, to ensure all enquires are responded to in a timely manner.
Accurate and effective Property Management System upkeep; including rates, availability, guest profiles, company profiles, agent profiles & wholesale profiles.
Handle and process bookings, amendments, enquiries, cancellations and any special requests.
Ensure adherence to credit and payments policies, particularly over event periods.
Ensure that rates are quoted accurately by maintaining adequate communication between necessary departments.
Ensure all complaints are communicated to relevant staff, management and Department Heads where applicable.
