We're recruiting on behalf of a global leader in construction and technical solutions, now seeking a General Manager to lead new business development and client engagement in the Australian market.
About the Role
This is a hands-on, client-facing leadership role where you'll be responsible for growing the company's local presence, securing new clients, and building strong industry relationships. You'll work closely with key stakeholders such as builders, developers, consultants, and contractors — representing the brand and identifying new project opportunities across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive new business opportunities across commercial and technical sectors
* Build and maintain strong client relationships
* Identify, pursue, and convert leads into long-term partnerships
* Represent the business at meetings, site visits, and industry events
* Collaborate with global teams to ensure high-quality project delivery
* Contribute to local growth strategy and business planning
What We're Looking For
* Experience in a senior business development or general management role
* Construction background strongly preferred – experience working on or around sites highly regarded
* Confident and outgoing personality – you enjoy meeting people and building networks
* Strong communication and negotiation skills
* Strategic thinker with a commercial mindset
* Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously
