The Braking the Cycle program focuses on increasing employment opportunities, promoting community connection, and enhancing road safety education among young people. As a driver mentor, you will act as a positive adult role model and driving supervisor, helping participants complete their logbook hours while maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
To be successful in this role, you will require an Open Driver's Licence for 12 months, a good traffic history, and a Blue Card. Training on the role will be provided, and we supply the vehicle and insurance for conducting driving sessions.
This is a regular commitment of more than 6 months, requiring approximately 1-4 hours per week. We are especially looking for mentors available on weekday afternoons. The flexibility of your schedule is essential to our program's success.
