At GenesisCare we want to hear from people who are as passionate as we are about innovation and working together to drive better life outcomes for patients around the world.
Care to join the team?
At GenesisCare, we're passionate about delivering better care, and we're looking for an experienced and inspiring oncology nursing professional to join our team as a Cancer Nurse Educator.
This is a permanent part-time opportunity (3 days per week) working in a centralised role supporting multiple centres across NSW. While there is flexibility regarding your primary work location, applicants must be based in NSW, as regular on-site support across our centres is an important part of the role.
As our Cancer Nurse Educator you will play a key role in shaping and supporting the ongoing growth, capability and clinical excellence of our nursing workforce. You'll lead education and professional development initiatives, provide clinical leadership and champion evidence-based oncology nursing practice across the state.
This is primarily a non-clinical (supernumerary) role, however there may be times where clinical support is required in partnership with the Director of Nursing or state leadership team.
More Specifically, You Will
* Provide clinical leadership and support to Directors of Nursing and Centre Leaders to ensure safe, high-quality, evidence-based oncology nursing care.
* Lead the development and delivery of nursing education programs, including onboarding, competency development and ongoing professional training aligned with the national nursing development framework.
* Mentor and support nursing staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning, professional growth and clinical excellence.
* Partner with clinical leaders to identify learning needs and implement targeted development strategies across the nursing workforce.
* Drive quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives, supporting compliance with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
* Maintain education, competency and professional development records while monitoring training outcomes and key performance indicators.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
* Unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
* Postgraduate qualifications in cancer care nursing, clinical education or a related discipline
* A minimum of five years' nursing experience within oncology
* Exceptional interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
* Demonstrated experience supporting staff development and positive performance outcomes
* Proven ability to coordinate workloads and maximise team capability
Benefits Of Joining Our Team
* Access to our confidential Employee Assistance Program for employees and their immediate families
* Care for Your Wellbeing programs because we understand that we need to support you to support patients
* Company paid parental leave for both primary and secondary carers
* Flexible working arrangements and the option to purchase additional annual leave to support work–life balance
