We are Australia's leading producer of gourmet muesli and snacks sold in independent retailers, health food stores, online and export, employing over 50 staff across our local macadamia farm, bakehouse and administrative headquarters in Northern Rivers, NSW.
We are seeking a full time Key Account Manager to join our sales team. This role will suit someone who is looking for career progression and is highly motivated and well‐organised. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail are also essential qualities. You will have a positive attitude, be a strong team player with a desire to learn, work hard and be able to adapt to a changing environment while working accurately to meet deadlines.
GENERAL SUMMARY
As a crucial part of the sales team the KAM will build and execute profitable and sustainable business plans with key customers including Costco ANZ and Asia Pacific, Qantas and Emirates. The role also involves pitching for new business, delivering reports and forecasting sales and growth expectations by account.
CORE FUNCTIONS
* Implement the agreed sales strategy, review and generate ideas to achieve sales goals
* Manage, develop and take ownership of key accounts and drive for new business
* Deliver on growth targets in conjunction with stakeholders to ensure sustainable growth.
* Effective management of margins and costs to ensure strong business health
* Provide input into sales targets and activities to reach them
* Development of sales presentations, reports and proposals
* Ensure effective development and implementation of sales policies and procedures
* Attend Tradeshows and appropriate travel to key customers.
* Collaborate with Marketing, Production, Finance and Warehousing teams to deliver exceptional service and offers to our customers
* Contribute to the development of the total business annual sales plan, specifically advising on realistic forecasts for each product and account (based on historical data, market trends, competitive activity, promotional strategy and sales effort) and the creation of promotional plans for your suite of accounts
ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES AND ATTRIBUTES
* Key Account experience with an understanding of FMCG
* Minimum intermediate level in Excel – must be familiar with formula's, V-lookups, Pivot tables etc.
* Strong skills across Microsoft Office Suite
* Experience in using ERP systems and analysing data to develop positive actions
* High level of professionalism with a positive can‐do attitude
* Demonstrated examples of execution of strategic direction
* Understanding of forecasting and budgeting
* Ability to plan and execute in the short, medium and long term
* Relevant tertiary qualifications
