The Program Manager Role

This role is crucial to the Fundraising team and a vital strategic role within the broader Marketing and Fundraising Team. The purpose of this role is to develop, implement, and review the strategic direction of planned giving programs.

This role involves expanding and managing planned giving programs for Guide Dogs and VisAbility WA, ensuring adherence to industry best practice standards.

You will identify and cultivate prospects to build a sustainable portfolio of confirmed bequests, maintaining relationships with existing and prospective stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

* In consultation with Senior Manager Fundraising, set annual targets for planned giving programs, including developing strategies to identify, cultivate, and confirm new prospects.
* Responsible for line-managing the Senior Officer Planned Giving (Bequests) to ensure delivery against agreed objectives and alignment with industry standards.
* Ensure the timely execution of bequests left to the organisation according to legal and ethical standards.
* Working in collaboration with the Senior Officer Planned Giving (Bequests), identify and deliver stewardship opportunities to steward and maintain relationships with existing stakeholders.
* Proactively identify strategies to engage potential prospects from the organisation's database and other sources.
* Speak at relevant events and industry networking events where suitable.
* Provide regular reports to the Senior Manager Fundraising and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for the Board, Executive Team, and CEO.

Essential Criteria

* Minimum of 5 years proven experience in planned giving management, coordination, and legacy giving, or major gift donations.
* Positive, collaborative, and results-driven approach.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Comfortable with public speaking engagements.
* Excellent organisational abilities, time-management, and planning skills.
* Strong relationship-building and donor stewardship experience and skills.
* PASSION FOR SECURING LONG-TERM SUPPORT.
