The Institute for Urban Indigenous Health Ltd was established by its founding members to provide a coordinated and integrated approach to planning, developing, and delivering comprehensive primary health care services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations within the Southeast Queensland region.
The focus of the IUIH Aged Care team is to work with the local Indigenous community and key stakeholders to increase access to comprehensive care and provide well-coordinated, quality in-home care services to eligible aged care clients.
About the Role
Under S25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous. A Confirmation of Aboriginality may be required from the successful appointee.
As an Administration Support Officer for our Aged Care Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the team by providing administration and communication support. Your responsibilities include handling communications, supporting administrative tasks, and enabling the team to meet its objectives. Your duties will include:
* Upholding client confidentiality and privacy rights.
* Managing reception duties for the Aged Care services.
* Providing general administrative support, including photocopying, preparing materials, and shredding documents.
* Coordinating finance paperwork, including accounts payable and receivable documentation.
* Performing word processing tasks such as typing letters, agendas, minutes, and reports.
* Booking conference, travel, and accommodation arrangements.
* Organising regional events, meetings, and committee requirements.
* Supporting regional management with administrative tasks as needed.
About You
* Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD).
* Current Criminal History Check.
Desirable, but not mandatory
* Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
