About the role
Provide a high standard of oral health care to eligible Oral Health Service consumers through the delivery of Oral Health Therapy/Dental Therapy within individual scope, and to promote oral health at an individual and community level within Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service. The position primarily delivers Oral Health Therapy services to children and adolescents through fixed and/or mobile dental clinics, supporting improved access to oral health care across schools and communities. Depending on the practitioner's qualifications, approved scope of practice, and service demand, the role could also include the provision of care at adult dental clinics.
About you
- Oral Health Therapist: Possession of a Bachelor of Oral Health (or equivalent) and registration within the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Oral Health Therapist. Radiation Use Licence issued under the Radiation Safety Act 1999, with an appropriate authority.
- Bachelor of Oral Health Therapy students in their final year of study are also eligible to apply.
- New graduates will have the opportunity to apply for entry into the Early Career Dental Practitioner Program (ECDPP), this program will provide opportunities in consolidating clinical skills, rotations in specialist clinics, mentoring, peer networking, regular case discussions, communication and wellbeing workshops, and career planning for the public sector.
- Dental Therapist: Possession of a Certificate in Dental Therapy (or equivalent) and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Dental Therapist. Radiation Use Licence issued under the Radiation Safety Act 1999, with an appropriate authority.
What we offer
Total monthly remuneration value of up to $11,047 is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $43.68 - $58.59 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
