We're seeking a proactive and diligent Accounts Payable and Receivable Officer to join our growing finance team. This is an exciting new role offering career growth in the booming travel industry while helping deliver unforgettable, bucket-list experiences to our customers.
You’ll be a detail-oriented team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys collaborating across departments. As a vital member of our finance team, you’ll ensure smooth operations behind the scenes while fostering strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders. If you’re passionate about structuring processes, solving problems, and playing an integral role in the financial operations of a fast-growing travel business, this could be your ideal role. You’ll also have opportunities to support system enhancements, contribute to audits, and participate in initiatives that shape our work.
Key responsibilities include:
* Overseeing the full AP process, organizing and prioritizing payments to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely approvals
* Supporting the AR function, assisting with end-to-end processes and facilitating clear communication
* Managing and reconciling supplier payments
* Assisting with bank and credit card reconciliations and supporting query resolution
* Contributing to month-end close processes, including balance sheet reconciliations and reporting
* Collaborating with the wider finance team and adhering to policies and procedures
* Participating in system improvements, troubleshooting, and supporting audit and ad hoc tasks
Requirements to join our supportive team:
* At least 2 years in an end-to-end Accounts Payable role, preferably within a similar SME environment
* Good understanding of Accounts Receivable processes, financial risk, compliance, and audit requirements
* Teritiary qualifications in accounting or related fields are highly regarded (not essential)
* Proficiency with Sage Intacct and Microsoft Excel preferred
* Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and time management
* Effective verbal and written communication skills
* Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
* Willingness to take on new responsibilities and support ongoing system improvements
* Commitment to delivering an outstanding customer experience
* Curiosity and passion for travel, with agility to adapt in an evolving environment
* Based in Melbourne and available to work full-time with full Australian work rights
