Mental Health Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team in providing quality educational programs for students with mild, moderate, and profound intellectual disabilities.
The successful applicant will be responsible for implementing small group and whole-school mental health prevention and promotion activities, including capability building and awareness raising activities for staff and/or students.
* Developing and implementing processes to enhance mental health and wellbeing prevention, promotion, and early intervention.
* Providing evidence-based direct counselling support to clients with mental health needs.
* Coordinating supports for young people with complex needs and referrals to specialist services.
About the Role
The Mental Health Practitioners initiative provides a qualified professional in government secondary school campuses and specialist schools.
Responsibilities include enhancing mental health prevention and promotion activities, providing early intervention services, and coordinating supports for students with complex needs.
