We are currently looking for a Residential Sales Manager to join our Trade team in Victoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading sales strategy and sales excellence within the region. The focus of this role will be to secure new sales growth with Residential Builders and take a proactive position with targeted key decision makers in the wider Residential market.

Reporting through to the State Business Manager, this role will also be responsible for managing a sales team of Business development managers and account managers, as well as working collaboratively with the wider professional architectural team to ensure maximum value is added to the ANZ Architectural strategy and external customers. The role will be based out of Clayton but will require time on the road mentoring team members and developing relationships with clients.

Responsibilities

Overall leadership for achievement of goals aligned to the Residential business in Victoria
Develop and support initiatives towards the achievement of PPG's profit and growth targets for the Residential business channel
Actively coordinate activities for growth and best practice between clients and PPG
Develop and implement tactical sales improvement plans
Develop an influential relationship between the Stores team, our Trade field team and establish key contacts with Procurement & Purchasing Managers, Estimating Managers, Construction Managers, Business Owners & Painting Subcontractors
Monitoring and reporting of changing market dynamics, customer needs and competitor activities
Leadership in regular Residential cadence meetings
Effectively mentor and manage the Residential Sales team

Requirements

Previous Key Account Management experience
Proven successful track record in sales management
An understanding of the paint industry would be advantageous
Sound commercial acumen
Knowledge of the building and construction industry
High level negotiation skills and influencing skills
The ability to lead and manage sales teams
Excellent communication, presentation & planning skills
