We're looking for a warm, motivated person to step into the Assistant Manager role at our close-knit Redland Bay centre. Maybe you're ready to take that next step in your career, or perhaps you've been an unofficial leader in your current role and want to make it official. Either way, we'll support you every step of the way You'll work hand-in-hand with the business owner, who will mentor and guide you as you support and inspire our wonderful team of Float Attendants & Cave Divers.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
* Nurture and support your team, helping them grow and shine in their roles
* Create a workplace where everyone feels valued, heard, and motivated
Be a mentor and coach, fostering genuine connections with your team. You will be overseeing the induction and training of our junior team members.
* Handle the tricky stuff with empathy and fairness when it arises
Operations & Customer Service
* Create seamless, memorable experiences for every guest who walks through our doors.
* Be the friendly, reassuring face who handles questions and concerns with care
* Keep everyone safe and happy by maintaining our high standards
* Make our centre feel like a peaceful oasis for both staff and clients
Commercial Performance
* Assist in achieving budget targets and identifying sales opportunities
* Manage stock control and ordering processes
* Drive membership growth and centre capacity utilization
* Action customer call lists and upsell opportunities
* Create engaging social media content to showcase our services (or be excited to learn)
About You
You're someone who leads with kindness and authenticity. You might already have leadership experience, or you might be someone who's ready to grow into this role – we're happy to coach and develop the right person What matters most is that you understand great leadership means supporting your team to be their best, not just managing tasks. You're organized and capable, but you never lose sight of the human element in everything you do.
Candidates must be Australian citizens or permanent residents to be eligible for this position.
You'll bring:
* A genuine passion for customer service and making people's day better
* The ability to build trust and strong relationships with your team
* Natural communication skills and emotional intelligence
* The ability to work independently while being a true team player
* Willingness to learn and grow in a leadership role
* Current First Aid and CPR or willing to get
It would be wonderful if you also have:
* Experience in a supervisory, team lead, or management role (but we'll teach you if you don't)
* Hands-on experience with rostering, budgets, or the practical side of operations
* At least 2 years in customer-facing roles where you've shown initiative and reliability
Bonus points if you have:
* A background in wellness, hospitality, or other people-focused industries
* A love for holistic health and helping feel their best.
