Key Responsibilities
The Credit Team Lead will be responsible for minimising financial risk to the business through effective leadership of the Credit team. This includes ensuring the collection of debt, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and maintaining efficient processes.
The role involves proactively monitoring outstanding debt, conducting monthly performance reviews, and providing required reporting to management. The Credit Team Lead will also be accountable for the completeness, timeliness and accuracy of daily banking and reconciliations of customer accounts.
* Lead and coach the Credit team, overseeing training and development
* Conduct monthly formal performance reviews and manage KPIs
* Accountable for daily banking and reconciliations of customer accounts
* Support customer queries and escalations
* Monitor outstanding debt and facilitate timely collection
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a minimum 1 year's experience in a leadership role with demonstrated capability in leading and managing a team. They will also have extensive exposure to a customer base and strong experience in influencing outcomes.
The successful applicant will possess coaching skills, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have analytical and critical thinking skills to resolve issues. They will also be able to demonstrate system, data and analytical skills to determine trends or areas requiring corrective action.
