Job Opportunity:

* Alfred Health is a leader in healthcare delivery, improvement, research and education.
* We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne, from ambulatory to inpatient and home and community-based services.

Position Overview:

* 13-month Contract, Part-time (0.8EFT - 64hrs)
* Based at The Alfred Hospital's Adult or Aged Inpatient Units, CommunityCare Unit and other sites as required.
* Enrolled Nurse Level 2 (Pending experience)
* This position is offered to those wishing to transition to Mental Health or for new/recent EN graduates

About Our Team:

* Our team focuses on people with a severe mental illness residing in the Inner South Eastern area of Melbourne.
* Our goal is to create an environment that facilitates clinical recovery, supports individual recovery efforts and strives to minimise service system barriers to the recovery process.

What You Will Achieve:

* This position offers experience for Enrolled Nurses to transition smoothly from General Nursing to Mental Health with support.
* We call this program the Switch transition to mental health nursing program.
* We also offer this supported program for new or recent graduate Enrolled Nurses.

Skills and Qualifications:

* Registration with Nurses and Midwives Board of Australia via AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse and holding a current practicing certificate
* Australian working rights (Visa holders, please upload your visa and passport with your application)
* Current Influenza vaccination (certificates to be uploaded with your application)
* Be willing to undergo a Background Check

* Ability and flexibility to work on a rotating shift work roster and either area is required.
