We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer (ideally with Defence sector experience) to join our friendly and supportive Adelaide office.
You will have the opportunity to build your team and help grow the business whilst shaping the culture of the office. You will be part of our multi-disciplinary team working on various building and service projects, including large, complex projects with multiple clients.

Day-to-day tasks would involve :
* Sharing your time between project involvement and management responsibilities.
* Representing Stantec externally to clients and managing these relationships.
* Supporting and guiding Engineers and Graduate Engineers to ensure successful performance.
* Prioritising workloads while maintaining strong relationships with colleagues locally and internationally.
* Demonstrating technical expertise, overseeing project delivery on time and within budget.
* Identifying opportunities for innovation within the mechanical engineering teams.
* Developing strategic business opportunities to enhance Stantec's presence in the defence sector in the region.
* Identifying clients and pursuits aligned with strategic objectives to grow market share and reputation for delivery excellence.
To be successful for this role you'll need :
* A Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
* Experience in the consulting or engineering industry, with a good understanding of the Adelaide building market.
* Well-connected within the industry, capable of fostering client relationships.
* Ideally, experience working in the Defence sector.
* Ability to make quality business decisions.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
