Hotel Room Attendant Job Description

Holiday Inn Werribee is a premier hotel situated in the heart of the Werribee city centre. The hotel occupies the top four floors of a 12-storey premises and boasts stunning views across to the You Yangs and Wyndham Harbour.

The hotel offers stylishly appointed guest rooms and suites, a gym, outdoor garden courtyard, all-day dining in our Rosana Bistro & Bar, and large conference and events spaces.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

* You will be responsible for ensuring our rooms and public spaces are always clean and well-maintained, meeting IHG's high standards.
* Ensure every room meets the cleanliness standards of IHG's Clean Promise.
* Provide exceptional service to guests, including assisting with amenities and providing directions.
* Keep your supervisor updated on room servicing progress and alert them to any maintenance repairs needed.
* Be safety aware by following established safety procedures, such as manual handling and wearing protective equipment when necessary.
* Be organised and efficient in your work, minimising waste and keeping supplies and amenities stocked.
* Reunite lost items with their owners and report/log any lost and found property.
* Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure excellent quality and service.
* Regularly assist with deep cleaning projects and other ad-hoc tasks.

Required Skills and Qualifications

* This is a physically demanding role that requires you to be on your feet during your shift, so fitness is essential.
* Strength is required to push housekeeping and equipment trolleys on a daily basis.
* You will need to bend and kneel to complete some activities.
* Literacy skills, including reading, writing, and basic math, are necessary.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
* Flexible availability to shifts, including early mornings, afternoons, nights, weekends, and public holidays, is essential.
* Valid Australian working rights are required.
