The opportunity…
As a Senior Estimator, you will lead and prepare detailed cost estimates for water and wastewater projects, covering civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical elements. Working closely with the TOC Manager, Construction Director, Estimating Manager & Project Managers, ensuring high-quality estimates that achieve optimal project outcomes.
Some responsibilities of this role include:
* Lead and prepare multidiscipline estimates for water and wastewater projects.
* Supervise and mentor other estimators as required.
* Develop detailed cost estimates, including subcontractor RFT packages and cost analysis.
* Identify, review, and manage project risks, opportunities, and contingencies.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure accurate estimates and maintain strong relationships.
* Ensure compliance with Downer's Zero Harm and Quality Assurance standards.

What you will bring…
* Relevant tertiary qualifications and proven experience in cost estimating.
* Expertise with estimating software such as Expert Estimator, Candy, or similar.
* Strong commercial skills, including financial administration and project costing.
* Familiarity with engineering disciplines and experience with various contract forms.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other project management tools.
