About the role:
We have a small fabrication workshop of around 24 workshop personnel.
We are seeking a Fabrication/Engineering Planner office bound to coordinate manufacturing processes to meet customer demand efficiently, balancing resource allocation, inventory, and schedules in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include creating fabrication workshop production schedules, to meet timetables created by the ELITE assembly workshop. Part of the requirement is to troubleshoot delays in material sourcing and manufacturing delays.
Key Responsibilities
* Production Scheduling: Creating and managing detailed daily/weekly fabrication workshop production schedules to meet customer demand and on-time delivery. Forecast, schedule and planning.
* Workflow Optimization: Planning and organizing production sequences between the machine shop, fabricators, preppers and spray painters and assembly.
* Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborating with sales, and the assembly workshop in ELITE.
* Reporting & Analysis: Analysing production data to generate performance reports and identify areas for improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Experience: Previous experience in manufacturing, engineering, fabrication and workshop scheduling.
* Technical Skills MS Office (especially Excel). CAD.
* Communication: Good communication skills and able to communicate to work with 3 tradesmen in upper management.
