Our clients are passionate in supporting people in moving their bodies and being well in their everyday life and ambitions.We have been given the exclusive opportunity to support them in their search for a newly developed role of a Product Quality Inspector that will be based in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne.Reporting to the Product Integrity Lead, you will be supported with hands-on training in the position and be responsible for incoming product inspection ensuring products meet quality standards before shipment to stores. This opportunity comes as the next exciting step in the company's rapid growth. Beginning as a 12 month contract role, this position also has the potential to go permanent, so whether you are looking for the next step in your career or passionate about retail this role may be the perfect opportunity for you!A Day in the life:Responsible for inspecting styles as per company's criteria, ensuring that workmanship, measurements and overall products conform to compliance standardsOwn the execution of the inspection process from PO receipt to recording inspection results and uploading to reporting systemProviding inspections data to support Global Quality Improvement initiativesCoordinating with 3rd party rework facilities when neededCoordinating with DC Manager and teams to define DC specific QA proceduresIndependently own working relationships with 3rd parties and DC management teamsActively resolve issues with a can-do, problem solving approachAbility to work autonomously and self motivatingAbout you:Ideally 5+ years of experience in Garment/Apparel/Retail industriesDiploma or Associate Degree in garment manufacturing quality or equivalent preferred1+ years of quality inspection experience and knowledge of inspection techniques in a similar environment is essentialAble to read, understand and interpret basic product drawings, dimensions, procedures and work instructionsAble to use quality measurement toolsWorking knowledge of Microsoft office, and an ERP or warehouse management system is beneficialPossesses an entrepreneurial spirit and continuously innovates to achieve great resultsFosters connection by putting people first and building trusting relationshipsRandstad has partnered with a global athletic apparel manufacturer who are leading retailers in functional and stylish designs.
