Role –Sales / Territory Manager Role – Northern Beaches / Central Coast area with a once-a-month country trip to the Riverina area of NSW (This means you are away from home 1 week in every 4-5 weeks)

Market Segment – This is a retail customer focused role, calling on stores like Mitre 10, Home Hardware, Key independent Hardware stores. (Hence B2B / BDM reference)

Key Skills & Traits – Territory Sales Manager (Retail Hardware)

Sales & Account Development

* Demonstrated ability to grow sales within existing customer accounts.
* Comfortable introducing new product ranges and identifying opportunities to increase distribution.
* Ability to have commercial conversations around pricing, promotions, and product placement.
* Focus on achieving territory growth targets.

Customer Relationship Management

* Strong ability to build relationships with store owners, managers and buying teams.
* Works collaboratively with customers to identify mutually beneficial opportunities.
* Maintains regular contact with key customers and provides a high level of service and follow up.

Commercial Awareness

* Understands the basics of retail merchandising and product presentation.
* Able to identify range gaps or opportunities to increase shelf presence.
* Keeps an eye on competitor activity within stores.

Proactive Sales Approach

* Enjoys identifying opportunities to introduce new products or expand existing ranges.
* Takes initiative in supporting customers to grow their category sales.
* Looks for ways to add value for customers and the business.

Industry Experience (Preferred)

* Experience in hardware, building supplies, tools, industrial products or similar trade-related industries would be beneficial.
* Familiarity with hardware retail groups such as Mitre 10, Home Hardware, HBT or independent stores is advantageous but not essential.

Personal Attributes

* Positive and professional approach with customers.
* Self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
* Good communication and relationship-building skills.
* Reliable, organised and able to manage a busy territory.
