Farmwest is seeking a motivated and practical VMS Dairy Robot Service Technician to join our growing Dairy Technical team.
This role will focus on the installation, servicing, maintenance and support of DeLaval VMS robotic milking systems, along with associated dairy equipment, automation and on-farm technology.

About the Role
As a VMS Dairy Robot Service Technician, you will be responsible for supporting robotic milking systems and dairy automation equipment across our client base.
Your work will include:
* Servicing and maintaining DeLaval VMS robotic milking systems
* Fault finding and breakdown support
* Installation and commissioning of new robotic milking systems
* Supporting farmers with robot performance, milk quality and system operation
* Preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
* Working with vacuum, milk, water, electrical and automation systems
* Assisting with upgrades, software updates and system improvements
* Maintaining accurate service records and parts usageWorking closely with the Farmwest Dairy Technical team
About You
We are looking for someone who is reliable, technically minded and enjoys working directly with farmers.
The ideal applicant will have:
* Experience with DeLaval dairy systems, DeLaval VMS robots, or similar competitor dairy equipment and robotic milking systems
* Mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, dairy technician or automation experience
* A strong interest in robotic milking and dairy technology
* Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach
* A willingness to learn and complete ongoing training
* A current driver's licence
Experience with DeLaval products, VMS systems, dairy plant, automation equipment, or other competitor robotic milking systems would be highly regarded, however training can be provided for the right person.
