Are you passionate about design coordination within the commercial construction industry? Design & Build Recruitment is seeking a Design Coordinator to join our clients team based at their Coolangatta office. This role is integral to ensuring that project designs align with client expectations, budget constraints, and construction requirements. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality projects from concept to handover. You will be reporting directly into the Head of Construction.
Key Responsibilities
* Proactively manage design, cost, and scope to meet development budgets.
* Review and ensure design documentation aligns with construction team needs.
* Coordinate all design-related aspects to ensure compliance with project and client requirements.
* Lead and collaborate with consultant teams, ensuring timely and accurate design development.
* Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to resolve design-related issues.
* Maintain and manage all project documentation, including RFIs and DA conditions.
* Ensure seamless handover from design to the project delivery team, maintaining budget clarity and intent.
Qualifications and Skills:
* It is preferred that you come from a commercial construction background - either in design, or project management.
* Relevant qualification in Construction, Architecture, or related fields.
* Proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD knowledge being an advantage.
* Strong communication skills, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
