Job Title: Simulation Education Leader
We are seeking a Simulation Education Leader to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all simulation and skills-based training at the HTH Simulation Centre.
This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based simulation education, fostering a culture of research and innovation, and strengthening collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
The Simulation Education Leader will lead a small team comprising clinical skills educators and a simulation technician, working in close partnership with the Director of Medical Education at the Randwick Clinical Campus, as well as academic staff from the Schools of Health Sciences and Optometry and Vision Science, to align simulation activities with the broader educational objectives of the Faculty.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for simulation and skills-based training at the HTH Simulation Centre.
* Ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based simulation education.
* Foster a culture of research and innovation.
* Strengthen collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
* Lead a small team comprising clinical skills educators and a simulation technician.
* Work in partnership with the Director of Medical Education and academic staff to align simulation activities with Faculty objectives.
Requirements:
* A PhD in a related discipline or significant experience in simulation-based education.
* A qualification in a relevant health discipline and maintenance of current registration with AHPRA.
* At least five years' experience in simulation-based education, curriculum development, and program implementation.
* Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design using a range of pedagogical approaches.
* Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence.
* Demonstrated knowledge of simulated learning environments and experience using educational technologies.
* Ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
* An understanding of UNSW's aims, objectives, and values.
