Support the Spiritual Needs of the Elderly

We're seeking a volunteer to visit an elderly lady living in North Turramra. Our client would value regular companionship and robust conversations. She has a Methodist background but was part of the School of Philosophy for 40 years, which has had more of an impact on her life. She will benefit from having a volunteer visit her.
You'll work under the direction of our HammondCare At Home Pastoral Care Coordinator. In this role, you may:
1. Supplement and complement the spiritual needs of our clients
Skills required for this role:
* High level of interpersonal skills, including strong empathy and listening skills.
* Pastoral Care training or equivalent experience.
Your Impact
Volunteering can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

Requirements
We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday; visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
