This is a wonderful opportunity to join our Occupational Therapy Team on a Permanent Full Time Basis. The position involves strong clinical leadership and workforce development of junior staff and students, as well as service development and supporting high quality Occupational Therapy Inpatient service delivery. Our team has a strong focus on workplace culture and learning and development and the right person for this position, will build on those strengths.
What you'll be doing
* Provide high level Occupational Therapy services and clinical leadership for the inpatient acute Occupational Therapy service, including coordination of day-to-day clinical practice and professional oversight of staff within the inpatient acute setting.
* The position delivers advanced clinical assessment and intervention for patients with complex care needs, utilsing advanced professional judgement and evidence-based practice within a multidisciplinary care environment.
* The role supports and supervises junior Occupational Therapy staff and students, contributes to clinical education and workforce capability, and provides day-to-day clinical guidance to ensure safe, effective and timely patient care.
* Services are delivered in accordance with professional code of ethics, relevant legislation, and Mid North Coast Local Health District policies and procedures.
* The position contributes to service development through the identification, leadership and evaluation of quality improvement initiatives, and supports ongoing improvement in clinical practice, service delivery and patient outcomes.
