Two roles are available: a morning shift starting at 5am in a coolroom and a day shift starting at 11am in egg transfers. Coolroom duties include loading and transporting trollies of eggs within a chilled environment and general cleaning. Transfers duties involve loading trays of eggs for sorting, transporting trollies of eggs into incubation, and general cleaning.
Candidates must be physically fit, comfortable with repetitive manual handling, and capable of pushing full trollies of eggs. They must be available for four days, Monday to Tuesday and Thursday to Friday, with no production on Wednesday.
Candidates must be comfortable with handling eggs and baby chicks and cannot live with anyone else who works in poultry processing or on poultry farms. They cannot have pet birds or pigs due to quarantine requirements and must not wear any jewellery that cannot be removed for work. Candidates must have good communication skills and be capable of passing a basic physical assessment. They must also have their own independent transport to and from work. The pay rate is $31.641 per hour plus penalties.
