Job Title
We are seeking an experienced Mining Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. As a key member of our Technical Services team, you will be responsible for short, medium and long-term mine planning, drill and blast engineering, pit geology and survey.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the production of LOM plans, including schedules, financials and forward work plans;
* Contribute reserves and schedules for the budget and 5-year plan processes;
* Evaluate mine planning options to improve operational efficiency;
* Maintain an inventory of medium-term designs, out to 18 months;
* Liaise and engage with the operational, projects and E&C teams to ensure delivery of the plan;
* Coach and mentor other team members, including graduates;
* Monitor compliance to legislative requirements and site standards;
* Apply a continuous improvement methodology to all that you do.
Requirements
* A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related engineering discipline;
* Mining experience in large-scale operations, preferably in coal;
* Experience with CAD design software packages such as Deswik, Minex or Vulcan;
* An eye for detail and an ability to develop practical and achievable mine designs and schedules;
* Strong communication and time management skills coupled with an ability to problem-solve;
* An ability to build relationships and influence key stakeholders across the business;
* Leadership, mentoring and coaching skills;
* Advanced MS Office Skills.
