This position is a recruitment pool for permanent full‑time, permanent part‑time, fixed‑term full‑time, fixed‑term part‑time appointments with the possibility of extensions and/or permanency.
Eligibility to Apply: Applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed‑term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).

Position Profile
The Consultant Anaesthetist leads the multidisciplinary team to provide specialist Anaesthetic services to patients. Promotes patient safety and quality of care. Provides leadership, orientation, training, supervision and education, where relevant, for doctors in training, Health Service Medical Practitioners and other health workers. In collaboration with the Head of Department (HoD) Anaesthesia and other Consultants, works to achieve national, state and East Metropolitan Health Service performance standards and targets. Works within the scope of clinical practice as defined and recommended by the Area Medical Credentialing Committee.
