About the opportunity The Clinical Nurse - Inflammatory Bowel Disease demonstrates expert clinical knowledge and advanced clinical problem-solving skills and is accountable for their own clinical practice. This position supports the established specialist nursing service aiming to improve the care of patients with complex disease. The role focuses on patient assessment, support, education, care planning and coordination. About the service The Gastroenterology Department supports a multidisciplinary, patient focused model of care providing a comprehensive array of tertiary clinical, diagnostic and interventive resources dedicated to Gastrointestinal, Endoscopic, Hepatology, Inflammatory Bowel Disease and the national Bowel Screening services. Integrated within the Institute of Medicine, the department embraces a continuum of care that spans the Primary, Secondary and Tertiary interface.
