About this Position
We're seeking an exceptional Operations Manager in Rockhampton to lead day-to-day success across warehouse and transport operations, shaping the branch's growth and performance.
You'll be the key link between warehouse, transport, and sales teams, driving logistics, safety, and stock management. Your voice will bring clarity, empathy, and direction to every challenge.
Key Responsibilities
* Owning daily operations across warehousing, transport, and inventory functions.
* Planning - ensuring resourcing, stock, and delivery readiness during peak periods and new product rollouts.
* Leading from the floor - building rapport, resolving people issues, and supporting your team to do their best work.
* Liaising with sales and transport teams to keep customer deliveries smooth and on time.
* Managing site performance, compliance, safety (OH&S), HACCP, and continuous improvement efforts.
* Coaching and developing your team - you'll have 2 direct reports and the support of a broader branch network.
What We're Looking For
To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
* Strong operational leadership experience within logistics, warehousing, or transport.
* A people-first mindset - approachable, empathetic, and not afraid to have tough conversations.
* A hands-on leadership style - visible on the floor and willing to roll up your sleeves.
* A solid understanding of safety standards, compliance, food safety, and HACCP requirements.
* Strong planning, communication, and negotiation skills.
* Tech-savviness with sound computer literacy.
* You're organized and able to anticipate what's around the corner.
* A current LF Forklift Licence is required.
