Whispering Gully Jindabyne is seeking passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educators to join our team on a full-time or part-time casual basis. As an Early Childhood Educator at our centre you will play a vital role in shaping the lives of young children and supporting their holistic development.
What you'll be doing
* Providing high-quality educational and care programs that align with the Early Years Learning Framework
* Engaging children in age-appropriate activities that foster their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth
* Maintaining a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children
* Observing and documenting children's progress and development
* Collaborating with parents and guardians to support each child's individual needs
* Ensuring compliance with all relevant childcare regulations and quality standards
* Participating in professional development opportunities to continuously improve your practice
What we're looking for
* Formal qualifications in Early Childhood Education or a related field (or studying towards certificate III, Diploma or Bachelor)
* A minimum of Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or Bachelor of Education qualification is required
* Experience working in a childcare or early learning environment
* Minimum of 1-2 years childcare experience is required for this position
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong organisational and time management abilities
* Creativity and a passion for engaging children in play-based learning
* A deep understanding of child development and the ability to tailor your approach to individual needs
* A commitment to promoting inclusive and safe practices
* A current Working with Children Check or the ability to obtain one
* Candidates may apply without a current Working with Children Check but must obtain one before starting employment
* Passion for creating and delivering a stimulating learning environment
* Understanding of the provision of a safe, well planned indoor and outdoor learning environment
* Awareness of National Quality Framework and Queensland Kindergarten Guidelines
* Able to document observations of children's behaviour and development, in the form of annotations
* A love of children and a passion for play based learning
* A commitment to children's safety and wellbeing
* Skills to build strong relationships within our community families, and understand the value in doing so
* An ability to implement a planned program, in collaboration with the Teacher ensuring the needs of individual children and the group are met
