About the position
As a key member of the Customer & Information Services team, the ICT Risk & Governance Officer plays a vital role in supporting the City's cyber security and ICT governance framework.Under the broad supervision of the Cyber Security Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining ICT risk registers, coordinating audits, and leading cyber security awareness initiatives to enhance organisational resilience.
You will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, external partners, and regulatory bodies to ensure the City meets compliance obligations and operates in alignment with cybersecurity standards and legislative requirements.
The role demands strong attention to detail, the ability to manage competing priorities, and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating ICT risks in a dynamic environment.

About you
You are a solutions-focused ICT professional with demonstrated experience in risk management, policy development, and cybersecurity compliance.
You bring a sound understanding of contemporary ICT and cyber security frameworks and are comfortable working with risk registers, audits, and internal controls.
Your excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills allow you to build effective relationships across the organisation, ensuring information is delivered clearly and actions are followed through.
You are proactive, organised, and adaptable, with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
You hold relevant qualifications in Information Technology or related discipline (or equivalent experience), and are confident in applying your knowledge to support governance, compliance, and continuous improvement in ICT services.
