The Ryde Hospital Redevelopment will transform the delivery of healthcare for the Ryde local community, including new health facilities and enhanced services. Construction commenced in early 2023 and will provide you with opportunities to be part of the Ryde team to shape future health services.
What You'll Be Doing
The purpose of the Stroke Coordinator is to provide senior nursing clinical leadership in the development of specialist clinical practice and coordinate high quality service delivery and nursing care to patients/clients. The Stroke Coordinator employs advanced clinical skills and exercises extended autonomy of decision-making, working closely with managers and other senior clinicians. The role includes delivery of education, support and administration of the service, and assistance in monitoring and reporting of data and outcomes.

Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following Criteria
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) with relevant post-graduate qualifications in neurovascular/cardiovascular and at least 3 years’ recent experience in neurovascular (stroke management), cardiovascular or critical care nursing, or equivalent qualifications or experience deemed appropriate.
- Evidence of clinical leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework to plan, deliver and coordinate patient care.
- Demonstrated ability to apply advanced clinical expertise in relation to clinical nursing practice and independently make decisions that support good patient care outcomes.
- Demonstrated communication skills including technology, written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others.
