Job Description

* Casual role - range of shifts, which may include weekdays, weekends & non-active sleepovers
* Based at our Healesville site, on the lands of the Wurundjeri Peoples
* $45.95 + Super + Salary Packaging Benefits up to $18,550

Maroondah Addictions Recovery Program (MARP) is a 23‐bed Alcohol & Other Drugs (AOD) residential rehabilitation service based in Healesville. The program provides short‐ and longer‐term rehabilitation for individuals seeking recovery from problematic AOD use and complex co‐morbidities. Residents participate in a structured therapeutic environment that includes intensive group programs, daily routines, and one‐on‐one counselling, delivered within a trauma‐informed, recovery‐focused framework.

About the Role We are seeking a Support Worker – AOD who brings empathy, professional boundaries, and a strong recovery‐oriented approach. You'll play a key role in supporting residents through their daily routines and therapeutic program, while contributing to a safe, consistent residential environment alongside a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

* Support Engagement: Facilitate resident participation in groups, counselling, and daily program activities.
* Assist Daily Living: Provide practical support with meals, chores, shopping, and medication dispensing.
* Promote Recovery Participation: Encourage involvement in AA/NA meetings and other recovery supports.
* Contribute to Treatment Planning: Work with the clinical team to implement and review rehabilitation plans.
* Maintain Documentation: Complete timely and accurate notes in Penelope and TrakCare.
* Collaborate Effectively: Work closely with team members and external partners to support resident progress.
* Provide Transport: Drive the program's 11‐seater vehicle for group activities and appointments.
* Work to Roster: Participate in rotating day, afternoon, and sleepover shifts (sleepover allowance applies).

About You You bring warmth, professionalism, and a strong commitment to supporting people in a structured residential environment. You're confident working with complex presentations and maintaining a therapeutic, recovery‐focused approach.

You will bring:

* Certificate IV or Diploma in Alcohol and Other Drugs
* Experience working with AOD clients, including voluntary and forensic
* Knowledge of harm minimisation and recovery frameworks
* Ability to support individuals with co‐occurring mental health needs
* Strong communication, conflict resolution, and de‐escalation skills
* Attention to documentation accuracy and strong time‐management skills
