Sugar Australia has an exciting opportunity for a part time (17 hours/week) Sustainability Lead who has strong commercial experience and stakeholder management to join our team reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.
As the Sustainability Lead you are responsible for leading the on-going development and execution of Sugar Australia's sustainability strategy: "For the Next Generation".
Our road map continues to evolve, requiring leadership and action. Sustainability sits at the core of our business strategy and helps define our business direction. This position plays a pivotal role in leading, influencing and collaborating across all functions of our Australian business, to drive business and sustainability outcomes. This role is responsible for leading 6 internal sustainability teams to guide and support all functions to execute our strategy, and to ensure that the impacts are measured, tracked and communicated effectively within Sugar Australia and our stakeholders.
Work for an iconic and reputable Australian food manufacturer in a permanent part time role based at our Sugar Australia Head Office in Yarraville.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Support the long term development of plans to reduce our footprint in all operational areas
2. Refine the Sustainability Strategy ongoing
3. Manage both internal and external stakeholder sustainability communication
4. Increase understanding of our sustainability strategy and plans, and enthusiasm towards acting on sustainability across our workforce
5. Lead and support 6 functional sustainability streams to continually develop current and future plans
6. Develop and lead governance and reporting frameworks aligned to industry best practice to ensure impacts are measured, reported and communicated effectively
7. Develop and implement a reporting matrix for key business outcomes
8. Provide guidance, thought leadership and education on emerging and existing material sustainability topics
What we're wanting you to bring to the table:
9. Degree qualified in an appropriate, allied field
10. 5 years experience in sustainability-related areas

As the successful candidate you will be pro-active and driven to achieve strong commercial outcomes provide a high level of stakeholder management and have strong influential skills. You will have excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills, and will have a strong attention to detail.
