Wellbeing Officer - Permanent Part Time averaging 2 days per week

Based in the Devonport region, averaging 2 days per week, with flexibility required.
This hands-on role within the farming sector requires some out-of-business-hours contact with employees and clients, including weekend work and nights for meetings and medical appointments. Hours may be spread over the week or worked in a full day, depending on business needs. Work exceeding 2 days per week will be paid accordingly.
Flexibility to arrange work hours to support the well-being of seasonal workers from the Pacific Islands is essential.
Flexibility to work from home for administrative duties, with ability to travel to farm sites in the region as required. Travel expenses will be reimbursed, and contributions made towards home office expenses such as internet and phone usage.
Key Outcomes
Building rapport with the Connect Group Regional Operations Coordinator, clients, and local workers to achieve:

Ensuring safe transportation and accommodation for Pacific Island groups upon arrival and departure.
Assisting with inductions and training for incoming crews.
Monitoring the well-being and conduct of seasonal workers, reporting issues promptly.
Liaising with accommodation providers to meet standards and monitor maintenance.
Meeting the outside-of-work well-being needs of workers.
Coordinating medical appointments and transportation.
Setting up banking services for workers.
Supporting access to religious and community services.
Providing guidance on shopping, health, hygiene, diet, and food safety.
Maintaining ongoing contact with workers, clients, and the organization to ensure issues are addressed.
Ensuring client needs are met and compliance with auditing procedures.
Fostering a positive experience for workers to encourage repeat participation.
Coordinating with transportation, banking, and insurance organizations.

Selection Criteria

Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
Strong rapport-building skills with employees and clients.
Passion for adding value through knowledge and experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
Attention to detail and good command of English.
Proactive communication and a friendly phone manner.
Experience in community services or similar roles.
Language skills in Pacific Island languages or Timor Leste are highly regarded.
Knowledge of the federal Seasonal Worker Program and PALM Scheme is advantageous.
Experience working with ESL backgrounds.
