About us

The Marlin is an iconic and reputable venue nestled in the center of the NSW South Coast town of Ulladulla. The establishment is looking for a dedicated and dynamic Hospitality Manager to join our friendly and close-knit team.

The role

Joining the team as our Hospitality Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in creating memorable moments for our patrons, whether they're locals seeking relaxation or tourists visiting our coastal town. You will be responsible in overseeing all operational departments of the hotel, whilst promoting professionalism and staff leadership.

Reporting to the Licensee & Managing Director, your key responsibilities will include:

* Responsibility for overseeing up to 10 + staff at any one time. Staff management and labour control
* Train, motivate and develop a dynamic team to ensure our customers always receive a positive experience.
* Excellent attention to detail. Ensuring venue presentation and cleanliness
* Cash reconciliation.
* Report directly to the Licensee and Managing Director.
* Safety and security of patrons and the hotel premise
* Have a strong understanding of RSA and other legislative and compliance requirements. And to comply with the venues Plan Of Management (POM) at all times
* Operations of the hotel including opening and closing, back of house admin
* Overseeing bars, gaming room, bottle shop and bistro
* Stock and cool room control
* Develop and implement bar promotions.
* Staying compliant with our Liquor License
* Hands on management. This is a service-based role.

About you

* Proven experience in pub and restaurant management
* Strong experience in Bar and Gaming operations, inclusive of TAB, Keno and Gaming Machines.
* Advanced Licensee Certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of commencement.
* Advanced RCG Certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of commencement.
* Experience in Bottle Shop is considered favourable.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with people on all levels.
* Share knowledge, mentor and train staff.
* Strong work ethic with a positive can-do attitude.
* Valid RSA & RCG certificate
* Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills
