An essential upgrade is currently being implemented for the dispatch communication system that supports voice and telephony operations. This system plays a key role in daily communications and coordination activities, and the enhancements will improve its performance, reliability, and usability.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to assist in deploying this third-party software to operational teams. In this role, you will work closely with the system’s Subject Matter Expert (SME) and the broader Control Systems Team to ensure a smooth transition, thorough documentation, and effective knowledge transfer.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the SME to develop a comprehensive operating manual for the upgrade of the company’s front-end software.
* Ensure the documentation captures all in-scope software features for operational use.
* Facilitate knowledge transfer from the SME to the Control Systems team.
* Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and assist in training operational staff.
* Assist in software migration and deployment activities across the network.
* Conduct regular stand-up meetings with Control Systems to communicate software updates and progress.
* Provide ongoing support for migration and development tasks.
* Proven experience supporting Operational Technology systems, particularly in sectors like transport, plant control, or building management is essential.
* Strong background in technical writing – able to create clear, structured documentation such as procedures, user guides, and as-constructed records.
* Familiarity with Information Technology systems, particularly Windows operating systems and user support.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
