About the team

Our Informatics team leads innovation across EMR, Business Intelligence, Health Information Services, and Archives. We're proud to be part of the Parkville EMR, a world-class system shared by The Women's, The Royal Melbourne Hospital, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, and The Royal Children's Hospital—supporting seamless, high-quality care for Victorians. Partnering with Epic, our EMR connects 18,000+ clinicians and staff, and our team works collaboratively to deliver smarter workflows and better outcomes for patients and staff.

About the role

As an Chief Midwifery & Nursing Information Officer (CMNIO) you will provide senior clinical leadership in digital health, ensuring midwifery and nursing perspectives are embedded in the design and delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care through the Epic EMR and related technologies. You will lead clinical engagement, change management, and training to support EMR adoption and continuous improvement. Working closely with the Chief Nursing & Midwifery Officer, Director of Informatics, CXIOs, and precinct partners, the CMNIO aligns digital health initiatives with strategic and operational priorities. The role also holds operational responsibility for the local EMR team and may be delegated to act as Director of Informatics when required, ensuring continuity in leadership, governance, and strategic oversight.

A regular day will see you:

* Provide leadership, facilitate engagement with and represent the views of nursing and midwifery and other clinicians in relation to the EMR, the use of associated technologies and other Digital Health Programs
* Co-ordinate and facilitate agile and effective clinical EMR decision making within the Women's organisational structure and Parkville Precinct EMR governance structure
* Lead and manage the day-to-day activities of the Women's local EMR team
* Provide leadership in the planning and delivery of EMR initiatives, including the Women's EMR Optimisation Plan and Health Hub Roadmap.

About you

To succeed in this leadership role you will bring:

* Registered nurse or midwife with postgraduate qualifications in informatics, health management, or related field
* Proven leadership in digital health transformation and clinical systems implementation
* Strong stakeholder engagement and change management skills
* Visionary thinker with ability to bridge clinical and technical domains
