Overview
Join our Defence Team as an Engineer or Maritime Technician based in Sydney, contributing to Defence maritime capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver maritime engineering services within project teams to improve operational effectiveness of Defence maritime assets.
* Maintain and support Defence maritime systems.
* Provide engineering advice and solutions to complex technical problems.
* Lead and manage delivery of Defence maritime projects.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
* Prepare engineering documentation in compliance with Defence writing standards and technical documentation requirements.
Required Qualifications and Experience
* Engineering qualification (electrical or mechanical).
* Ability to gain appropriate industry accreditation.
* Experience in maintenance of Defence maritime systems (e.g., Australian Navy ships).
* Experience working with Defence writing standards and technical documentation.
* Mandatory security clearance (AGSVA) at Baseline level or higher, and eligibility for ITAR‐controlled information.
* Knowledge of Navy engineering practices and engineering delegations preferable.
* Desirable: experience in maritime ILS.
* Strong communication, teamwork, proactive and critical thinking skills.
