About the role
Bidfood Yatala is looking for a reliable and energetic individual to join our team as a Casual Storeperson at our branch. You will work Sunday and Friday shifts, totaling 16–32 hours per week. The role involves picking and assembling customer orders, loading trucks, managing inbound stock, and keeping the warehouse tidy and organised. Duties rotate across chilled and frozen areas, ensuring variety each shift.
Responsibilities
* Pick and assemble goods accurately.
* Load trucks efficiently and safely.
* Receive, put away and rotate stock.
* Maintain tidy and accurate bin locations.
* Perform duties in freezer environments (down to –25 °C).
* Support warehouse housekeeping and safety protocols.
* Work overtime when required to meet demand.
About you
You are someone who enjoys physical work, shows up on time, and works hard. You are punctual, practical, a team player, and dependable when the workload increases. Prior hospitality or kitchen experience is an advantage as the pace and precision required in those settings translate well to this role.
Skills and experience
* Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
* Previous warehouse or storeperson experience (a plus).
* Good communication and time‐management skills.
* Forklift licence with reach experience (essential).
* Comfortable working across freezer and chiller areas.
* Able to pass a pre‐employment medical (if required).
